Connectors Compatibility and Transfer Rate

The module is compatible with both SATA and SAS interfaces. SATA and SAS are based on full-duplex and switched serial point-to-point, which means they do not require users to manually assign device IDs or to terminate the connection, while data can be sent and received simultaneously. Although they both do not have any significant performance difference, mechanically, both SATA and SAS are using the same pin-out for data and power connections, the two connectors are physically separated for SATA. Compatibility of the module with both interfaces is also supported with up to 6Gbps transfer rate.

Hot-swap Capability

Hot swappable capability benefits the survival of contained-hard drive. Users can remove a hard drive without shutting down the computer.

Aluminum Body

Aluminum is known as a very durable material and easy to maintain. Aside from being lighter weight compares to other materials for HDD module, it also disperses the heat. Hence, it prevents hard drive from overheating.
