Athena Computer Power Corp. Introduces their Smart Green Energy Saving Rackmount (RM-2UD220S)
A Smarter and more Efficient Rackmount Server
Athena Computer Power Corp., manufacturers and distributors of mainframe computer power supplies, is pleased to announce the release of their RM-2UD220S rackmount for all micro-ATX and mini-ITX server boards. This rackmount has been designed to increase accessibility and access for IT professionals to maintaining server health.
Maintaining their sleek and compact design this 2U rackmount comes with an array of new features that promotes server longevity and increases the protection of sensitive hardware installed. The exterior of the rackmount includes a front door bezel that is easily removable and serves as a filter for both the 2x 80mm installed fans. Keeping dirt and dust trapped within the filters and is also easy to clean and helps make server maintenance easy.
The RM-2UD220 can have up to 7x 3.5” HDDs installed at one time if optimal hardware is installed (1x BP-SATA2131B and a mini-ITX motherboard installed). The 2UD220S also offers 4 low profile expansion slots and vibration reduction stoppers for all hard drives installed in the hidden bays.
The Smart Green Energy Saver function is a new patented feature that works alongside the blue LCD screen at the front of the rackmount. The 2.25” LCD display has a self-generated controller and once it is connected with any standard lithium battery (not included) the LCD display will have a programmable memory setting. This LCD display will keep track of server start up time, server temperature, server system fan, and HDD status.
The Smart Green Energy Saver function also includes an adjustable temperature setting that will automatically operate the fan by deciding whether to use dual fans or just a single fan based on the server temperature. This feature makes energy saving more efficient by reducing the amount of power taken from the power source as it will make the necessary adjustments determined by the server load and its temperature.
