Graphic/Web Designer 02/09/2012
We are looking for a talented and experienced Graphic/Web Designer (part time/ intern) to join our team of high performing professionals. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technology solving challenging visual problems in a fast-paced and results oriented environment. The Lead Visual Designer will be the visionary behind the evolution of Athena Computer Power Corp’s graphic and web designs.
The ideal candidate will have outstanding visual design skills with a strong sense of graphic design, layout, color, typography, and style, and a deep appreciation for simple, sleek, and usable interfaces. This person will also have a basic understanding of interaction design and the way effective designs help achieve business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate design projects and review work of the visual design team, providing outstanding ideas and helping to build a strong team
- Work closely in an agile environment with programmer, front-end developers and key stakeholders to create a highly polished visual experience that fully represent brand, market, and end-user requirements
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvements, and propose innovative changes to the visual design process
- Visually define and refine the Athena Computer Power Corp’s brands look and feel
- Generate and maintain design documents such as style guides and pattern libraries
Requirements:
- Must have basic understanding working on a high traffic site with significant interactive functionality
- 2+ years creating high production value websites and applications
- Experience with both ground up visual and brand design, as well as major overhauls/aesthetic evolution
- Expert level knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Photoshop
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and Flash
- Strong web and interactive design knowledge with the ability to iterate and produce multiple solutions
- Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills. Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to give feedback and creative direction

Marketing Assistance(Part-time/Intern) 7/13/2011
Responsibilities:
- Write and distribute news releases
- Develop and manage on-line/social media marketing strategies for Public Relation campaigns (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc…)
- Manage websites
- Assist PR team in coordinating and executing all advertisement campaigns and PR events
- Build and maintain corporate bi-weekly PR Report¨
- Answer incoming calls for the Public Relations office
- Sort and respond to all customer e-mails
- Respond to guest complaints related to Public Relations and Customer Service
Requirements:
- Should be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Should have knowledge of some HTML and the Adobe Creative Suite especially Photoshop for web management program
- Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Friendly and energetic disposition
- Be able to problem solve
- Enjoy working with others
- Strong customer service skills a must
