Athena Computer Power is proud to introduce their 470 Watt power supply for the APOLLO series.  This PSU also includes dual core capabilities and is compatible with i7 and Xeon motherboards.  This is a Micro SFX PSU  built with dual fans and has reduced noise and ripple features, this power supply creates a new standard for the Micro SFX form factor. 

The Micro SFX Design

Micro SFX power supplies are known mostly as a replacement power supply but it has now been upgraded and can be used for mini-ATX cases, custom built computers, mini-servers and more.  With the increase of wattage and efficiency the micro SFX is a conventional PSU that can be used for multiple purposes.

The APOLLO 470 Watt PSU will support the most current ATX motherboards including the latest EPS-12V Xeon and Intel Core I7 motherboards. Its dual PCI-E 8-pin connectors support high-end SLI and ATI graphic cards. It is ideal for custom-built PCs, mini-servers and HTPCs.

Dual Fan

With its dual fan features located at the front and back of the power supply, the rear fan intakes the heat that is produced inside the server or system and pushes it through the front fan which is positioned towards the exit points of the server/system which keeps the motherboard and hard drives cool.  This design allows the power supply to take 100% of the heat that is generated by the interior system and push it out of the server/system.  While some other PSU fans work differently this dual fan design is targeted to maintain a reliable source of power and keeping the system cooled.  Some may second guess this dual fan feature because it will increase noise volumes but with its thermal fan speed control it will detect the amount of heat generated by the computer and spin accordingly.
